Insight · opportunity · shared future
2026-06-27 · 14:00–16:00 · Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI), R1 Arena Level 4, 11 Eunos Road 8, Singapore 408601
On 27 June 2026, Venus International Education, together with the ASEAN campus of the Hong Kong Asia Business College and the Construction Industry Development Association, co-hosted the Singapore Construction Industry Seminar in Singapore. Under the theme of reading the trends, seizing the opportunities and winning together, it brought peers from construction, engineering, investment and technology into an in-depth exchange on the present and future of Singapore building industry.
Dean Wang Liangyou opened with a keynote on industry trends, proposing a new model of industry collaboration built on three pillars — connect, collaborate, grow — so that every professional can find a place and an opportunity within a larger network.
On the opportunities of the AI era, speakers noted that the rapid rise of AI rests on a solid foundation from the construction industry. Data center construction is becoming a key growth area, with rising demand across structural and MEP engineering, cooling and power systems, and full-scope security systems; construction is one of the core beneficiaries of this wave.
A partner from GLodon shared a digital solution covering the entire building lifecycle — from BIM design collaboration, cost control and on-site construction data to AecGPT industrial AI and facility management — showing how digital tools and AI lift industry efficiency.
The seminar also introduced and demonstrated the Venus member platform, its member network and resource matching — a network you can actually call on, not a static list. The MBA and degree programmes of the Hong Kong Asia Business College were presented as supporting infrastructure for career growth and circle expansion (subject to the prevailing policies of each institution).
As the closing line put it: one person walks faster, a group walks farther. We look forward to linking resources, deepening collaboration and growing together in the industry ecosystem ahead.
